Pickadroid’s mission is to ensure transparency and help customers trust the robots listed for sale or rental.
Each time a robot is listed, Pickadroid reviews the listing to verify its accuracy, authenticity, and clarity.
Users will also be able to leave ratings and reviews to strengthen trust within the community — and those who have actually rented or purchased the robot will have a distinctive badge next to their review.
How does transportation work?
Transportation depends on the robot’s weight:

Robots under 70 kg can be shipped via integrated courier services (like Packlink), with tracking and insurance options.

Robots over 70 kg can be picked up directly by the renter, or delivered privately by the owner (with an optional delivery fee).
Pickadroid automatically displays available delivery options at checkout.
What happens if a robot gets damaged or doesn’t work during the rental?
Pickadroid will offer several layers of protection:

Optional insurance and a security deposit can cover accidental damage or loss.

If a robot arrives not working as described, users can request support or a refund review through our help center.

How much does it cost to use Pickadroid?
Pickadroid is completely free to access, with no subscription or entry fees.
You only pay for what you rent or buy — that’s it.
In the future, we may add optional premium tools for professional users, but the main platform will always remain free for everyone.
If I list my robot, what commissions does Pickadroid take?
During the Alpha phase, no commissions are charged on rentals or sales.
We want creators and owners to freely test the platform and share feedback.
Once the platform grows, a small service fee may be introduced — but Alpha users will enjoy special, discounted terms as early adopters.

Who's behind Pickadroid
My name is Paolo and I am a single, passionate professional mobile developer based in Europe.
I started developing apps in 2017 and since then I worked for several customers, some of them being big companies known worldwide.
The idea for this platform was born from a simple realization: while technology can offer real help to people—especially in assistance and companionship—robotics remains too costly and complex for everyday users.
Our mission is driven by years of professional experience in building intuitive and secure mobile applications. We are dedicated to tearing down these barriers, making the future of robotics simple, accessible, and human-centered.
